Martin Weiss, OwnerMartin's passion for trading card games began in 2002 with Yu-Gi-Oh!. He was fascinated by the television show and the trading cards that were associated with it. In 2018, the idea that became Waffles and Enthusiasm was developed by Martin. In March 2021, his idea became a reality as he began his business selling trading card game products online. Now, he operates a Brick-and-Mortar for his business and his customers have a place to play their favorite trading card and tabletop games.

Scott S.D. Weiss, Shipping DirectorIn 2014, Scott thought of the name "Waffles and Enthusiasm" while having a waffle for lunch. Once Martin discussed stating a card store, Scott thought the name would be perfect for it. As Shipping Director, Scott makes sure the online orders are shipped to the proper recipients. He is also a sports broadcaster for the Collegiate Water Polo Association. |
How did Waffles and Enthusiasm get its name?
Martin and Scott worked their way through college at an IHOP restaurant. Scott's go-to meal for lunch breaks was a waffle. One day while eating a waffle on lunch break in 2014, Scott said "Babe Ruth hit home runs on hot dogs and beer, I work on Waffles and Enthusiasm". Martin thought that would be a great name for a business. Martin and Scott's family agreed. Martin started Waffles and Enthusiasm LLC in 2021 and added a physical store in 2022.
